Unit Upgrades
Hello everyone!
Returning from vacation with a new patch. It's not that big, but it radically changes the game.

Unit Upgrades
The main innovation is the unit upgrade system. All creatures in the game are now divided into five archetypes: Adept, Bruiser, Guardian, Marksman, and Sentinel. From the very beginning, the player has all five available for purchase — these are our old friends: Crafter, Lumberjack, Blacksmith, Hunter, and Peasant. After each victory, the player can choose a new unit that replaces the previous version of the same archetype. Each subsequent unit is stronger than the previous one in its archetype. In total, four such upgrades are possible — thus, the game still has 5 levels. Only now these are not rarities, but precisely upgrades.
New Units
To support the new system, many new creatures have been added to the game. Now their total number has reached 36. I won't describe each one — I'll give you the opportunity to discover them yourself. The only thing I want to note: Angels and Archangels have appeared in the game.
Appearance of Glory
Another important change is the glory system. Now the number of units available for purchase is limited not by their availability in the store, but by the amount of glory required for hiring. Unlike gold, glory is not spent, but acts as a limiter on the maximum number of units of one type. It encourages the player to create diverse army compositions instead of buying one strongest unit. The amount of glory grows after each victory.
Gold Accrual
Interaction with gold has become much simpler. No more refunds for lost troops or rewards for destroyed enemies. Now gold is accrued each time you enter the store, based on the number of victories the player has. More victories — more gold. Armies also do not save between battles: after each battle, the player buys anew. Together with the new opponent matching system based on the number of victories, this makes the game maximally balanced. You always fight only against players with the same level of gold, glory, and upgrades.
Small Interface Improvements
- The unit characteristics panel now displays its archetype, as well as the price in gold and glory.
- The unit disband window shows the amount of gold the player will receive.
- Added "-" and "+" buttons next to the number of units in the store.
Further Plans
I have carefully studied your feedback on the complexity and confusion of the game. Therefore, the next updates will be aimed at making it clearer and friendlier for both beginners and experienced players. I really hope that these changes will help an even larger number of people enjoy the game.
